David Yandl

Clarinetist David Yandl enjoys a varied career as performer and educator. Recent highlights include performances with the Grand Rapids Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Chicago and The West Point Band. David has also performed live on Chicago Public Radio, and his Simpatico Quartet was a semifinalist in the 2006 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition.

David has held faculty positions at DePaul and Michigan State Universities and Chicago’s Y.O.U.R.S. (one of the nation’s first El Sistema-style orchestras).

David holds a B.M. and M.M. from DePaul and a D.M.A. from Michigan State. His teachers include Larry Combs, Theodore Oien, Julie DeRoche, and Yehuda Gilad.
