Professor of Piano UMass Amherst and Principal Pianist Springfield Symphony Orchestra made her concert debut at age fifteen, performing the Prokofiev Concerto No. 1 with the World Youth Orchestra, Interlochen, MI. Other awards include MTNA, Mason and Hamlin, Van Cliburn and Federation of Music Clubs Scholarships/Interlochen, Oberlin: Rudolph Serkin and Pi Kappa Lambda; Indiana University Concerto Competition. Ms Shank has performed in festivals in England, Germany, Virgin Islands, Netherlands, Croatia and at the Phillips Collection, Weill Hall, Edinburgh Fringe, Blossom Festival and recently soloed with the West Point Band and Springfield Symphony. She recorded 17 CDs including “Play-Alongs” for saxophone and clarinet on Open Loop.
