Emily Rickard is a clarinetist and educator based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Emily is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in clarinet performance at Duquesne University. She is a recent graduate of Penn State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Performance Certificate. During her time at Penn State, Emily was a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and several chamber ensembles. She was also named a winner of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition. Emily currently performs as a member of the Duquesne Wind Symphony, Duquesne Symphony Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra. She also performs throughout Pittsburgh as a member of a woodwind quartet. Emily’s primary clarinet teachers have included Ron Samuels and Dr. Anthony J. Costa.
