Anastasia Christofakis

Anastasia Christofakis is visiting professor of clarinet at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She received her Doctor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance at Florida State University. She holds a Master’s degree in Clarinet Performance from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from James Madison University. In addition, she was the winner of the Presser Graduate Music Award for her project relating to Armenian music. Her primary teachers include Frank Kowalsky, Deborah Bish, Gregory Smith, Mark Nuccio, Carolee Smith and Janice L. Minor.
